Tax Specialist in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
- Certified Public Acct a plus
- Masters in Tax or Accounting a plus
- Must be proficient in use of data analytics software including Power BI, Power Query or Alteryx.
- In-depth analysis of tax law, knowledge of federal, state, local and international compliance requirements, and accounting for income tax.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related curriculum required. Certified in area of expertise. Master's in Tax a plus. Proficient in the use of tax and accounting database software. 6 years Prior related experience required. in area of expertise.
Position Purpose:
Applies principles of tax law and shall be considered a subject matter expert in said field of expertise. Must be strategically focused and process improvement minded.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Analyze and maintain records.
- Consult with other tax professionals and members of the Gulfstream organization.
- Compile facts, analyze applicable tax law, and prepare memos of tax findings.
- Participate and assist in the identification of tax strategies.
- Support and lead as necessary efforts of the GD organization.
- Must be seen as expert in area of focus.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
