Position OverviewAs an Automation Controls Technician, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers and fellow technicians to assemble, wire, troubleshoot, and refine custom automation equipment. These systems integrate advanced technologies such as robotics, lasers, machining, induction heating, automated feeders, packaging systems, and more.
Your work directly supports the creation of next‑generation automated solutions used across major industries.
⏱ Available Shifts & Pay (Temp-to-Hire)Pay Range: $22.22 – $46.39/hour
1st Shift2nd Shift $1,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days (performance/attendance-based)
A Day in the LifeYou will:
Work with automation engineers using drawings, sketches, and SolidWorks models
Organize incoming project materials from internal machining teams and outside vendors
Plan assembly layouts, confirm dimensions, verify alignments and clearances
Fit, assemble, wire, plumb, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system components
Set up and operate machine tools (lathes, mills), welding equipment, etc.
Install and troubleshoot sensors, VFDs, pneumatics, and automation electronics
Participate in ongoing training for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC/robotic systems
Improve assembly processes and ensure high-level build quality
✅ What You Need to SucceedRequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years in mechanical, machining, or manufacturing environments
Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude (auto repair, farm equipment, home repairs all count!)
Safety Shoes & Safety Glasses required at interview for plant tour
Solid troubleshooting and assembly capability
PreferredAS degree in Engineering or Technology
Experience with machining, welding, and fabrication
Exposure to automation equipment, robotics, PLCs, or industrial controls

Pay Details: $22.22 to $46.39 per hour
