Job Description:
Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Machine Operators to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce aircraft parts, mechanisms, and tooling to exacting tolerances. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, precision machining experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and FOD prevention in an aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to make parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup
  • Use a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications
  • Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Measure, span, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining
  • Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required
  • Maintain station safety and quality standards including "clean as you go and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company health & safety procedures
  • Articulate complex technical issues to team leads and support staff as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters
Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Required: At least 3 years machine operator experience
    • Preferred: 5+ years minimum experience in aviation production
  • Skills:
    • Basic machine operator skills required
    • Knowledge of station safety, quality standards, and OSHA regulations
    • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Ability to articulate complex issues to others
    • Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Education:
    • Required: High school diploma/GED or WorkKeys assessment completion
    • Required training: Health & Safety, General Aircraft Familiarization, Quality Training
    • Preferred: Training from a vocational school or previous employer in machine operations
  • Availability: Must be willing and able to work any shift including overtime as needed
  • Other:
    • No A&P license required
    • No personal tools required
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
    • Must pass background check, drug test, and employment verification
Work Environment

Aerospace manufacturing environment. Exposure to noise, cutting fluids, and operating machinery. Strict adherence to FOD control, OSHA, and PPE requirements. Must follow "clean as you go standards at all times.
