Responsibilities
Oversees the activities of the Planners and reviews the daily scheduled maintenance events for all Spirit aircraft to ensure the companies FAA approved Airbus Maintenance Program (AMP) requirements are planned and scheduled within their respective compliance periods. Collaborates with line stations to ensure maintenance workloads, manpower, tooling and materials are available for the scheduled overnight maintenance activities.
- Reviews the scheduled tasks identified by TRAX (SETS) and the SPIRIT Airlines Airbus Maintenance Program (AMP).
- Reviews the current aircraft flight schedule to determine and plan scheduled tasks and checks so as to minimize impacts to the flight schedule.
- Coordinates with the OCC departments of any aircraft movements required to accomplish scheduled maintenance tasks and checks.
- Coordinates and maintains shift staffing levels and schedule of Maintenance Planning Team Members.
- Reviews and schedules maintenance tasks and ADHOC work orders associated to the allocated maintenance spare aircraft.
- Creates and maintains spreadsheets for current and future visits pertaining to line and heavy maintenance inputs.
- Routing of company aircraft. Self-prioritize tasks based on operational need and safety.
- Technical Operations decisions as they pertain to the AMP, maintenance plan and compliance of the tasks on the Spirit Airlines Fleet as assigned to the maintenance cities for the overnight visits.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager or Director of Maintenance Planning.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Certificates/Licenses/Designations:
- TRAX, SABRE, experience preferred
- Valid A&P Certificate preferred or equivalent
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, nights and weekends.
Basic Requirements: physical, mental and environmental job requirements:
- 3 - 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to travel (minimum 10 travel)
- HMV (heavy maintenance visit) experience preferred.
- Must have a High school diploma or GED.
- Strong background and knowledge of aircraft maintenance systems.
- Working knowledge of maintenance programs and aircraft routing.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
