·         Provide leadership, training, motivation and direction to all staff. ·         Coach and develop employees, including performance management, training, orientation and disciplinary action. ·         Schedule & manage team member shifts; recruit & select employees. ·         Delegate supplier orders and other tasks to staff; perform supplier audits. ·         Participate, oversee and audit workplace Health & Safety matters. ·         Create and implement contingency plans in the event of operational disruptions. ·         Advise key staff of abnormal freight movements and special handling instructions. ·         Complete and approve payroll timesheets on a bi-weekly basis; completion of Human Resources documents. ·         Prepare, collect & review documentation and establish procedures specific to the stations operation. ·         Co-operate with Airport Authority and other carriers to ensure assistance when required. ·         Prepare reports for Senior Management as required. ·         Assist contract and non-contract customers in order to maintain customer service levels. ·         Oversee all contract suppliers. ·         Ensure compliance with all Cargojet policies and regulatory/legislative requirements. ·         Communicate with down line stations to ensure available resources (ULDs, herc straps, etc.) are forwarded as needed. ·         Communicate with customers in regards to daily volume. ·         Co-ordinate daily plan in regards to loading/unloading customer tender/retrieval. ·         Inform Local and National Management of nightly volumes and delays. ·         Operate within budget parameters. ·         Must be resourceful and have excellent problem-solving skills to resolve day-to-day issues with a “can do” attitude and multitask with a sense of urgency and dedication to the success of the operation. ·         The successful candidate will be required to carry a BlackBerry and be available when necessary.  |
