Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic with expertise in sheet metal fabrication, riveting, and aircraft structures, particularly Bombardier corporate aircraft. The successful candidate will handle repairs from start to finish, including inspection, evaluation, and execution of maintenance/repair requirements for airframe components using technical manuals, service bulletins, and other approved data.
Responsibilities
- Perform sheet metal fabrication, riveting, assembling, and disassembling of aircraft structures.
- Handle repairs from start to finish, including inspection, evaluation, and liaison work.
- Provide technical information to engineers for developing repairs beyond approved data scope.
- Perform approved repair operations on sheet metal and other structures.
- Overhaul mechanical assemblies, including repairs and part replacements.
- Document maintenance/repair actions per company and FAA requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Essential Skills- 2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and riveting.
- 2+ years of experience working on aircraft structures.
- Ability to rivet, drill, ream, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal components.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and mechanical and structural repair prints/drawings.
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations and their application.
- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to read precision measuring tools and instruments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience with aircraft structures.
- Experience in mentoring or a prior lead role is a plus.
- FAA Airframe certification is a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Effective communication skills for technical subject matter.

Work Environment
The work environment is a family-owned shop with about 35 employees, where the owner remains actively involved in daily operations. The company offers a first shift from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, and a second shift with four 10-hour days, providing a three-day weekend.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
