Bridger Aerospace is seeking a Facilities and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician who is responsible for the maintenance and repair of company facilities, ground support equipment, and vehicle fleets. This includes three aircraft hangars, mobile repair unit (MRU) trailers, company vehicles, and various types of aviation support equipment. The technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, minor mechanical repairs, and ensures all equipment is safe, operational, and compliant with applicable standards.
Reports to: Facilities & GSE Manager
Responsibilities:
- Perform general upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance on three aircraft hangars, including lighting, HVAC systems, plumbing, and other building systems.
- Maintain and repair ground support equipment, including tugs, power carts, air start units, and other aircraft servicing tools.
- Conduct inspections, service, and basic repairs on mobile repair unit (MRU) trailers and support vehicles.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire inspections, brake checks, and fluid top-offs.
- Maintain accurate service and inspection records for all GSE and facility-related work.
- Support compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and exterior facility upkeep as needed.
- Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance requests after hours when necessary.
- Operate various equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and power tools safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or trade certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, GSE maintenance, or vehicle service
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair small engines and automotive systems
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
- Experience with trailers and mobile service units a plus
- Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Must pass criminal background check
