OnsiteRaytheon UK have a full time on-site, permanent opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Gloucester.
We are looking for a talented engineer to be part of IT support team delivering support to engineers and wider business, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and business‑critical systems. Your primary role would be to maintain a reliable IT environment and act as a bridge between project and business units via the JIRA Service Desk.
This area of the business provides ISO27001:2022 aligned IT support at scale. Collaborating with engineers to create, maintain and deliver secure, mission critical systems.
Due to the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to be eligible and willing to obtain SC and enhanced DV clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates of the IT estate
Conduct regular audits, reports and risk assessments
Provide technical support to end users across thin clients, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
Manage user accounts, onboard, offboard, manage permissions, and access to internal and external systems
Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with your IT projects
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and asset inventory
Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes, including device setup and recovery
Support meeting rooms, AV equipment, printers, and telephony systems
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on‑site
Required Skills and Experience
Experience of maintaining the laptop estate via the endpoint management software
Knowledge of networking, including security and IT governance frameworks
Working experience with IT project delivery
Administration of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
PowerShell script writing and troubleshooting skills
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS
Prior experience with working independently on‑site with minimal supervision
