Job Description
Ensure safe and legal flight planning for all Company flights, including:
Payload estimation
MEL/CDL compliance
ETOPS requirements
Consideration of operating environments
Prepare and deliver timely Crew Briefs, including all relevant:
Flight plan filings
Weather reports
NOTAMs
Other pertinent information for safe and efficient flight operations
Monitor and update the Operations and Flight Following systems.
Maintain continuous weather and NOTAM watch; alert crew to any relevant changes.
Escalate and alert on unexpected aircraft deviations or tracking losses via Flight Following.
Monitor ATC slot times; assess rerouting options for delays exceeding 15 minutes.
Provide active input for A-CDM (Airport Collaborative Decision Making) airport operations.
Delay flight plans and revise ATC slots in case of schedule disruptions.
Recommend and adjust aircraft allocations to support regulatory or optimized daily planning.
Assist in disruption recovery planning to maintain schedule integrity, balancing cost and safety.
Review and escalate take-off and landing performance limitations where necessary.
Take ownership of flight-specific actions aimed at improving safety and operational efficiency.
Oversee payload planning to ensure optimal load and balance considerations.
Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in:
Airline Operations
Airport Management
Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management
Logistics/Transportation
Or a related field
Must possess a Flight Dispatch License or have attended an initial Flight Dispatch Course.
Preferably have at least 1 year of experience in an airline, airport, or ground handling operational environment.
Familiarity with crew scheduling, engineering limitations, and their operational impacts.
Proficient in both written and spoken English.
Skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with Navtech systems is an added advantage.
Comfortable working in complex technical environments.
Willing and able to work on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule.
