- GMRE is currently recruiting for an Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician. This position is day shift and may be eligible for per-diem based on GSA.gov standards.
- The Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician will perform maintenance and modifications on assigned aircraft.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The individual in this role will repair, fabricate, modify, reshape, and install aircraft sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies.
- Must have the ability to follow blueprints, measure for correct alignment, cut sheet metal to size, drill holes, fasten members together by bolting, riveting, glue etc.
- This work requires knowledge of sheet metal principles involved in aircraft and related equipment.
- Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.
- Knowledge is mandatory of sheet metal fabrication and repair, concepts and application of maintenance directives.
- Possess the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts IAW established Technical Data Specifications.
- Ability to interpret the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Must have the ability to properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.
