Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician with expertise in cable lay-ins, terminations, crimping, pinning, and soldering. The ideal candidate will be able to assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components. You will need to document work performed, manage equipment status tags, log critical information during installations, and verify parts requests. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions is essential. You should be comfortable using a variety of manual hand tools and specialized aircraft test equipment. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary. You will perform assigned duties on all shifts, regardless of weather or physical location conditions, while wearing required safety equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.
- Clearly document work performed and control equipment status tags.
- Log critical information during installation and verify parts requests.
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions.
- Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, and complex specialized aircraft test equipment.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other employees and supervision.
Essential Skills- Avionic troubleshooting and functional testing.
- Experience with aircraft avionics, avionics systems, wiring, and wire harness.
- Proficiency in schematic interpretation and avionics installation and repair.
- Experience with aircraft electronics, maintenance, and assembly.
- Soldering and working with coaxial cables.
- Knowledge of rotary or fixed-wing aircrafts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of electrical/avionic aviation production experience preferred. Military experience will be considered.
- General overall knowledge of aviation electrical/avionic components and systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
